thinking about putting another lighting unit on and this will take my lighting up to 3W per Gallon
Is this going a little ott?
Think about having a fe plants in the tank but not going fully into the planting part of fish keeping

If you are not going to commit to a fully planted tank, then I would forget the extra lighting, if I was you. There will be no need for 3WPG and you could end up with an algae farm.

If you plan to go 3wpg, you should also plan to use CO2 and ferts, otherwise, you will have algae problems.

Cheers for that guys. im guessing it would be ok then to use the back of the two lighting units for moonlight tubes (i think thats what they r called) Instead
