ello, just a quick question, I'm hopefully getting a 3ft tank. The dimensions are: 34x15x15.
How many male bettas could I fit in there?

Thanks
Joe

so thats 33g the max you could have is 6 and then they would have 5g each and you could have 4 corys or 8 kullies or a few snails or some cherry shrimp in each.

thanks, well chuffed about that. I got 2 already, and i'll be having a rescue one from my dads community tank (long story) and then maybe 2 more fancy ones and a section for filter and heater.

yh 5g is alot better and then you can have tank mates with them.
or you could divide it into 4 5g sections for the male and some corys or kullies or shrimp or snails and then use the other 13g for 6 females and some corys and or a bn

I think I might go for 5 sections divided, and then one big section with filter in with maybe some apistos or blue rams?

The Young One - your opening post asks how many male bettas you could fit in a 3 foot tank. Do you mean divided?

If divided - as long as you give them 3 gallons of water each as an absolute minimum, and as long as you take into account the amount of space taken up by decor and substrate, then you're good to go. With a tank that size, I'd be aiming for 4-5 gallons each. You could still get a good number in that size.

(I'm talking UK gallons, btw, so that's about 4.5 litres per gallon)

if you divide it into 7 you could have 5g for each betta and then the 7th section will be 3g and you can put the fillter and heater in there
