Nice tank you got there, one thing though i wouldnt recommend putting armoured shrimp in there in the early stages, they need a well matured tank and one with lots of cover like plants would also be appreciated. Personally i would put them in last and im not sure what the water volume is in your tank but the bigger the better really as they are filter feeding shrimp and get food from the water column. All this is based on the fact that you are refering to atyopsis gabonensis the cameroon amoured shrimp.

Yeah, ive had one before. Im leaving my tank a couple of weeks before adding any kind of fish. Ive also used the filter from my last tank aswell as the decor, and water.
Ill see how it goes.

Another update! 28/12/07

Ive just placed an order for a Tetratec ex 1200 external filter (This will replace my aqua-flow 3 internal), i have also managed to locate a Peacock Spiny Eel.

Ill keep you updated.
