I took a few photos last night. I'm happy with the progress so far. The Sag is speading well, I thin out about a third of it every week. I may start selling it to my LFS.

I'm strongly considering a mate for Digweed (my Discus). I'm just concerned about bullying. Hopefully I can come to a suitable arrangment with my LFS about returning any problem Discus if required.

Hope you enjoy looking at these half as much as I enjoy spending my hours transfixed to my front glass. Thankfully my 5 month old baby also enjoys it!

Pity Digweed is hiding in the first couple of shots. The white spots are oxygen bubbles produced by the plants (pearling).

Does that happen to be a Pidgeon Blood? I love those. But sweet Aquarium set up. Discus really shouldn't bully, considering they are very peaceful fish...

It's a Red Marlboro. Unfortunately juveniles are well known bullies. Normally one stocks around 6 juveniles to limit the aggression. Only when they become adults do they become more placid. I am hoping to get lucky and find a mate.

Illusion - thank you.

Really nice setup you have there mate, i love the look you have with the black gravel and background with the green, very nice :)

Looking good as allways gf, is Digweed getting redder or is it just in these photos, or maybe its my imagination. Good luck with selling or tradeing the sag with the lfs, be great if you could, an ideal setup.

I think Digweed is colouring up. He is fed well and Discus become more colourful as they mature (although it's only been a month since the last pics!) I assume he was still a little stressed in my first few photos as he had only been in the tank a few hours.

He hangs around the filter on the right for most of the day and then swims about for the last couple of hours before lights off. I think he'll be more active if/when I find a mate.

Fantastic, the crinium is just awesome.

You are aware that the Discus may eat the Neons when he gets bigger. Right?

They do look kindof like little candies, at least to a big fish, I would imagine. Not sure about the taste, though. :fun:

Fantastic tank gf!
