340L Tank Stocking

yes the rainbow cichlids seem to be quite easy to get hold off, i managed to get two the other day
also the tbar's are nearly always in fish shops
keyhole cichlids are very good smaller community cichlids and reletivly peaceful, any cichlid has a bit of aggresstion thats just what they are, my most peaceful to date were t.bars/keyholes/chocolate cichlid and these rainbows seem very peaceful

Are these cichlids ok to keep with my current fish, as current stock is small type fish. I have read they are relatively peaceful, but would they not try and eat the neons I have for example?

to be honest my sev seems to be the most peaceful out of all the fishes.. it just swims about and doesnt bother any of the others. maybe other severum keeps could give their view..

Well, tank arrived last week in what can only be described as disgraceful condition. The stand was smashed, dented and mouldy, the tank had scratches, and the sealant was not put on properly in places. However fair play to the company (on ebay) they came and collected it and gave me a full refund, so I have now ordered a new tank from AD Aquatics, 48x24x24, the damaged tank was 50x24x18, so I guess the new tank will give me the option of more fish? Also has anyone else dealt with AD Aquatics, and if so what did they think of there tank?

Thanks

you should consider festivums, severums and angelfish (they can be mixed but maybe better to stick with one species)

and then possibly some dwarf cichlids from apistogramma or mikrogeophagus altispinosus

if the old tank was 18" high, you probably had more options with it than the new one (though not by much) as substrate area (footprint) is usually more important than height
