Well, I have a 30 Gal that I purchased and started back in March ; and then the Corona Virus hit Connecticut absolutely locked down all my LFS. So I had a new tank with no fish in it. I decided that it was a better Idea to keep my 15 gallon going with some neons and amber tetras than move them and potentially have zero fish until the LFS opened back up.
Well, fast forward to early September, after alot of help form some community members @Byron I am ready to populate this tank with some changes that i have learned along the way.
Added SafeStart to kick start tank.
I moved the 15gal tank members 10 days ago to the new tank and everyone is happy and healthy.
After a 25% water change and retesting for chemistry restocking will happen.
I have generally soft water and will be populating with mainly tetras. Looking for thoughts on community fish to add. no bruisers or tail nippers
I will be adding plants as that really helps with the whole nitrogen cycle. Thoughts on easy plants to keep?
I will also be adding about 5-7 freshwater shrimp to act as cleaners
My plan is to add fish / shrimp only 1 shoaling group at a time and adding them sssssssllllllooooowwwwlllyyyyyyyyy
