300Lp In A 28L Tank?

If I cant sell my 28l Aqua-one ar320 I'm gonna set it up again but this time will use an internal filter rather than the underground.

I've been giving advice on allpondsolutions external filters so would try one of their internals. The are relatively cheap but I'm wondering it 300lph is overkill in a 28litre, 1ft x 1ft x 1ft tank.

if it is then I'll go with the 200lph which is only £1 less

The 300lph serves tanks up to 70l, and the 200l serves tanks up to 35l, according to the website. Turnover isnt the issue as such, more the current, because not all fish can handle it as much as others. They do have a spray bar which will even it out a little but I'm not sure if the output can be reduced or increased with a valve of some kind or not, it isn't very clear.

The thing I would bear in mind would be the size. A 28 litre tank can't be that large, so do you need the extra room? There isn't that much in it, a couple of cm, but it might matter, again depending on stocking.

I don't think there's much in it but personally I would go for the larger one, because maximum outputs are often determined by the performance of the filter without media in it, which obviously slows it down once added, and even more so once matured.
