I still think you're going to be a bit overstocked. Even with good filtration, there is only so much space for even peaceful community fish to comfortably share. I'd remove one of the livebearer species and one of your two tetra schools. That would give everyone a little more living space. Believe me, a balanced community tank is far more attractive than one crammed to the proverbial gills with fish.

One last correction as well...

...and definately leave out the sae.  those things can suck onto your fish and kill them.

The SAE, Siamese Algae Eater, will not "suck onto your fish and kill them". They are a peaceful fish that I've found very enjoyable in a community tank. And they are great at dealing with numerous types of algae, even types most other fish don't eat. The fish jacblades is referring to is undoubtedly the Chinese Algae Eater (CAE), which does in fact get aggressive as it matures. If you do get an SAE, make certain you're getting a Crossocheilus siamensis, as there are a lot of "lookalikes" sold as the SAE in LFS's.

Good luck with your new tank, bm!
He's not over stocked at all IMOE corys don't produce much waste nor do the tiny neons ...... And he has fish on all levels so no I am afraid his tank is fine ... Why would you suggest removing livebearers if he is going to remove anything I would say the rams they like alot of swimming space and maybe he likes live bearers and it doesn't matter if other ppl find the tank attractive as long as he deos ... Personally I don't care at all as long as I like the fish that are in my tank decoration and color means nothing (too an extent)

Also any "sucker" fish can and may kill your fish by literally latching onto the side and sucking the mucus off of the fish especially cichlids b/c they produce more/different mucus than most. In most cases they are fine but yes I have noticed SAEs too be more agressive and active than most "sucker" fish

ok ill take out the rams
ill lok on the web to see if i can find a nice center piece fish
so
4xkuhlii loaches
6xglowlight tetras
6xneon tetras
6xcories(peppered,julii)
3xballoon mollies
4xswordtails
3xplaties
this good?

Kuhii loaches are the coolest of all the loaches imo. They dont get enormous but they are fun to watch burry themselves in sand. If it's possible, get a Tire Track Eel. They are awesome. You would just see their head poking out from where they are burried.

before i do get a tire track eel i need to ask a few q's
they wont attack any other fishes
what do tire track eels eat?
how big do they get?
will they attack my coolie loaches?
would they attempt to eat any of the tetras or livebearers?
i still cant find a centerpiece fish yet
i was thinkin of a blue gourami but ive had a bad experience with them

small gouramis maybe?

does anyone have any hard evidence that cherry barbs are fin nippers? i haev never heard of such a thing. they are not typical of barbs in genreal, they're not even shoaling fish.

ah im gunna get rid of the platy's
since i would like swordtail fry not the cross.

so im thinkin of goin with this

4xkuhli loaches
6xglowlights
6xneon tetras
6xcories(bronze,albino)
4xswordtails
3xballoon mollies
2xflame dwarf gourami's

ok ill go with

6xglowlight tetras
6xneon tetras
6xcories
3xballoon mollies
4xswordtails
4xkuhli loaches
1xtire track eel
1xflame dwarf gourami

should be nice setup yes?

Not bad, but still a bit on the overstocked side IMO. I'd remove one of the tetra schools and add 2 of the other type (for example take out the glowlights and make it 8 neons instead of just 6) or thin the cories out to 3-4 instead of 6. Then you should be fine.

IMO, I would steer clear of a Whisper filter. I've heard nothing but bad things.

If you are going with a HOB filter, I prefer Aquaclear or Emperor.

ok did some research on the tire track eel and they are predators so they are out of the question
so ill go instead of a tire track eel ill go with this
4xkuhli loaches
6xcherry barbs
6xglowlight tetras
6xcories
3xballoon mollies
4xswordtails

and ill use my 10 g as a fry tank
and the 2 gal ill rescue a lfs betta
sounds good?
