He's not over stocked at all IMOE corys don't produce much waste nor do the tiny neons ...... And he has fish on all levels so no I am afraid his tank is fine ... Why would you suggest removing livebearers if he is going to remove anything I would say the rams they like alot of swimming space and maybe he likes live bearers and it doesn't matter if other ppl find the tank attractive as long as he deos ... Personally I don't care at all as long as I like the fish that are in my tank decoration and color means nothing (too an extent)modernhamlet said:I still think you're going to be a bit overstocked. Even with good filtration, there is only so much space for even peaceful community fish to comfortably share. I'd remove one of the livebearer species and one of your two tetra schools. That would give everyone a little more living space. Believe me, a balanced community tank is far more attractive than one crammed to the proverbial gills with fish.ballon mollie said:4xcoolies

The SAE, Siamese Algae Eater, will not "suck onto your fish and kill them". They are a peaceful fish that I've found very enjoyable in a community tank. And they are great at dealing with numerous types of algae, even types most other fish don't eat. The fish jacblades is referring to is undoubtedly the Chinese Algae Eater (CAE), which does in fact get aggressive as it matures. If you do get an SAE, make certain you're getting a Crossocheilus siamensis, as there are a lot of "lookalikes" sold as the SAE in LFS's.

Good luck with your new tank, bm!![]()
Also any "sucker" fish can and may kill your fish by literally latching onto the side and sucking the mucus off of the fish especially cichlids b/c they produce more/different mucus than most. In most cases they are fine but yes I have noticed SAEs too be more agressive and active than most "sucker" fish
