3 Weeks And Nitrite Spike Wont Go Down

hi im fishless cycling a 6 gallon tank and i have had a nitrite spike for 3 weeks now and theres no sign of it dropping. im adding 4pmm of ammonia a day every day is this normal?

Yes, it's fairly common - what's the nitrate level in the tank? If this is very high it might be worth doing a water change - then add ammonia as usual and see if that gets the final part of the cycle going.

If the nitrate isn't over 100 - 150 ppm - then it's just patience I'm afraid
