3 Way Split

I have my males in a 3 way split. So they can all see each other to flare and establish who is the leader and the ranks in the split. Carmel is the dominate male but I think Royal might have taken that. Because they had a huge 3 way flaring contest and You Beta was first to back down and he is still at the lowest rank. But I think Royal won because Carmel has seemed less happy for the past few hours and after that Royal started a bubble nest.
How can I cheer Carmel up? He seems so down now that he is not top rank.

I would try and arrange the tank so they can't see each other. I have my boys in a 24G divided tank and left a gap so they could see each other. They constantly flared so I've now changed it so they can't see each other at all.
If they flare all the time they are going to end up stressed and causing themselves damage.

they don't flare to much and it entertains them. But I think I am taking it apart anyway. They most likely need a break from one another.
