first of all i have been using these 2 cemicals regulerly:strees zyme(from aquarium pharmaceuticals) and easy balance(from tetra-aqua) r these any good or have i been wasting my money. next i have a few ghost shrimp in a small container(i bought them for my puffer to eat but after killing one he just toys with them now)...the only tanks i can put them in is my goldfish tank or with my shark(i dont care if the shrimp get eaten or not) so which would be better. finally can any offer me some good tips for breeding snails. thanks for ur help :D in advance

For breeding snails...What kind BTW well neways all you need to breed snails is a male and a female and in a few months you should have egg sacs :)

well i dont know what kind....theyre just small small ones i got from my lfs for free as they always have lots(they bred a few months ago but now that im trying/need them to breed they wont) about 7 or so r big enough to breed and i have lots of really small ones(grian of sand sized) and quite a few of ones of a decent sixe to feed my puffer.....is there anything special i can do or should i just keep the tank clean and let them do there own thing....i have a hornwort in the tank for them to eat

Well just keep the tank clean Add a live plant or two and a lot of plant decorations and eventually they will breed and have more snails

Also, the more you feed them the faster they will reproduce. That's how I knew to cut back on feeding my fish....there were snail eggs EVERYWHERE!
Once they start laying the eggs make sure you don't bother them, too.
As for the chemicals, I used both of them for a while, but I saw no difference when I stopped using them. I would put the shrimp in with the goldfish myself, though I have no real reason for this. Just what I would do.
:S
Good luck with everything!

if you put the shrimp witht he shark, they will eat them. not sure about the goldioes though, as they mostly eat veggies....

thanks for all ur help.....does anyone else know anything about those two chemicles

The chemicals are a complete waste of money, the only chemical you need to add routinely is a water conditioner (dechlorinator) when you do water changes.

Same here.

Stress-zyme is just snake-oil, IMO.

ok well thanks....i use agua safe and i have used stress coat cuzz ocasoanlay aqua safe is sold out.....i was wondering about the other products as the stuff they do(that the lable says it does) seemed like it would be helpfull: easy balance: reduces phosphate levels for improved water quality, kh and ph stabalizers prevent sudden dramatic swings in ph, adds vitamins, trace elements, and minerals essentail for a healthy aquarium, nitraban(nitrate reducing granules) keep nitrate levels low....stress zyme: contains live bacteria that enhances the growth if any biological filter....aka bacterial starter...now that i think about the stress zyme is the same as adding gravel/decore from an established tank
