3 Broken Heaters

I bought one of Marineland's visi therm delux heaters 25 watts for my betta's 3 gallon tank, took it home, set it up in Edward's tank and plugged it into the wall. The red light went on but it didn't heat up so I took it back to the store and exchanged it for the Marineland plastic shatter proof one. Took it home, same thing happened. I wrote to the company and they sent me another one. Set it up, plugged it in. This one lit and heated up, but only for a while. Now it doesn't work at all. I tried plugging it into all the outlets in the house but it doesn't work. This is insane, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Has anybody else had problems with Marineland products?

Did you check to see if it was a 110volt or a 220volt? I use Jäger heaters but do not know if they are only in Europe.
