well i've decided to take up beta breeding, inspired by my best friend Haley, or you might know her as haleystropicalfish.
well, i am new to the hobby, and haley is coming over to my house with a book all about betas. i've heard people say that breeding betas is not a good idea because they are the siamese/chinese fighting fish. well, haley has been breeding her fish for approx. 3 months. does anyone have pictures of their betas?? (im doing crowntail). Is a 10 gallon tank big enough for 3 betas? (yes i know eventually you will need a spawning tank and jars)

p.s.~ using 1 male and 2 females.
Thanks! :)

3 Bettas? 3 male or 3 female?

3 Male will kill each other unless you have the tank divided, same if you have a mix of male/Female. 3 females "might" be ok but personally I wouldnt risk it.

Try posting in the betta section, there are a lot of very knowledgable betta breeders and keepers on these forums that will be able to give you a lot better information then I can.

breeding is very risky with 1 female let alone 2 my advice would be to go over to the betta section and ask about anything your unsure of, there always willing to help no matter what, and will give you useful tips :good:
