i currently have a 14watt (15") interpet triplus bulb on my 11 gallon tank. This works out to 1.27wpg
This brings out the colours of my fish very nicely! But its more on the purple side, still quite light, but i want to neutralise it and add another bulb at the back.

I want to add an 8watt daylight bulb to give a more neutral look. But this will make my tank up to 2wpg exactly!

Will i have algae issues with this amount of light? I will Not have CO2 or fertalizers. This is an attempt to make the light more full.

Also, what bulb will look good with the 8000k rating of the interpet triton triplus?

Thanks!

You'll be fine with 22w in an 11G and no CO2 injection. Plant heavily to avoid algae.

Interpet Daylight Plus would complement the Triplus nicely.

Thanks George!

Do you reccomend any plants which will do well in this lighting, and will help combat algae?

Would cabomba work? I have java ferns and vallis in the tank already.

Also. Which light should i have at the front of the tank? The triplus or daylight?

Thanks!

EDIT: The daylight plus only comes in 18"+. Is there any other light which will compliment the triplus well?

Would the Arcadia freshwater lamp compliment the interpet triton? (its a triton, not a triplus i have found out)

What plants do you reccomend with 22Watts in an 11gallon?
