Hello everyone.

Having stabilised the latest 'grrr' to befall my 1st tank, I was lucky enough to pick up another 60L tank by way of donation from a good friend.

I would like some ideas whilst it's cycling about what to put in it please, and also if a couple of my ideas will be ok.

I am probably going to put my current male Betta and one of the females he has sort of paired off with in there to begin with, though this is just a possibility. If I do - what can go in there with him safely? He's already been nipped to hell thanks to the poor advice of my LFS (and saved thanks to the advice of people here - bye bye rainbow sharks :) )

I would like some Angel Fish - firstly can these be kept with the Betta? And in any case what is ok to keep with Angels?

I would also like a Red Crab - what is ok to have in a tank with one of these?

Just ideas floating around atm, I love unusual looking fish and want to ideally keep a weird theme going :)

Thankies

Male and female bettas should not be kept together. Usually (but not in all cases) the male will kill the female.

I would say that the crab would be a bad idea as they will kill nd consume your fish if they can catch one.

Angelfish need more than 60l and need a tank that is at minimum 18 inches tall. Sorry.

your male betta will be happier in his own little tank say about 5 gallons minimum. Your female betta will be appy on her own or in a sorority tank with other females to spread any agression.

Perhas you could turn your 6 litre tank into a sorority tank.

how tall is your tank?

The tank is 3/2/2 I think

Ok so if I were to put in the male and female betta - what's safe to definitely keep with those?

The male and 4 other females are in m current tank and they've always been fine, been together for a couple months now. One of the females and the male have sort of paired off and are always flaring at eachother and swimming around together, bless. This male has always been kept with females though.

Cheers

you shouldnt keep them together unless your breeding them and then its only brief
