Hi all. This tank has been up for a year now, and has gone through several changes (substrate etc.) Ive got a big piece of driftwood in it, and a clump of anarchis, and am looking to plant the tank even further. My question is regarding my stocking list. Am I stocked for the most part?

9 Neon Tetras
8 Lemon Tetras
5 Emerald Brochis

Seems kinda empty as of now. Stupid relatives keep bugging me about it.

You could add another six fish as neon tetra's are not big waste producers.

Like 6 tetras

I was thinkin along the lines of a drwaf gourami, maybe 3 tetras and one of these?

Why not try a nice surface dweller, like a quartet of honey gouramis (1 male, 3 females), or a trio of dwarf gouramis (1 male, 2 females), or 6-8 marble hatchet fish. Might be a nice idea. You could even get some platies (1 male 2-3 females). Any fry will most certainly be eaten by the tetras and you're tank won't be overun. I would definitely get something for the upper levels, though.

In my own experience I tend to find glow lites boring, harlequins are much a more active fish.

I agree with Wilder.
Harlequns are active and they really colour up as they get bigger.

i agree with the gourami idea. I have had them in a 29 and they just look good since all ur other fish are on the small side. Having 3 big, brightly colored, and cool looking fish will most definitely complete ur tank.

I think I'll go with the dwarf or honey gourami. Probably just one. Im wondering if the dwarf will harass my cats or will he leave em alone?

PS-Thanks for all the advice given thusfar.

Are the honey's aggressive to each other? Should I do a special m/f ratio?
