29g Freshwater Tank

Here is a pic of my 29g tank, since this picture i have added 2 air tubes for aeration and 1 plant which i forget the name of right now. i built the rock cave and tunnel thing

Thank you . Yes i'm fishless cycling for the first time. about 1 and a half weeks in my ammonia wouldnt drop down from above 8ppm (my testkit wont show any higher than that) so i did a 20% water change, i checked 2 days later (today) and the ammonia ia 0 i belive or .25 and my nitrites have shot way up. so tomorrow morning when i wake up i'm going to add more ammonia . is that the right thing to do?

You should be adding only 5ppm on the ammonia (unless you are using the add daily method) and leaving it till it reaches below 1ppm then re add too 4-5 ppm again. keep doing this untill nitrItes spike drops to 0 then wait till you can add 5ppm of ammonia and it drop to 0 with nitrites in 12 hours

but it sounds like progress so keep it going
