I have a lovely 29 gallon tank set up right now, about two or so months old. Right now I have:

2 female black mollies
1 female silver (sail fin maybe) molly
1 male marble sail fin molly
1 male 24k molly
2 female guppies
1 male guppy
3 ghost shrimp
1 african dwarf frog (I realize this isn't the best for brackish water...)
1 neon who survived my mistake of putting neons in brackish water

I have the salinity at one tablespoon of aquarium salt (I didn't realize at the time there was marine salt as well) per five gallons, as per directions on container.

I also have these plants:

1 tall green spiky thing I can't remember the name of, with vertical white and green stripes along its' long leaves
1 moneywort
1 red ludwigia (I'm guessing this isn't fond of brackish water, as it isn't thriving)
1 fluffy green thing, I don't recall which... I'm good with fish names but not plants. It is thriving beyond belief and hardly sheds
various stems of anacharis floating on the surface, and oen planted

I am looking to sell/give most fry to a lfs, which I have done bfore so I know at least one store will take them. I'm thinking I will probably keep a few guppies as they are small and not so active compared to the mollies, of whom I will have to give most away (fry).

Species I would have interest in ading are bumble bee gobies and kirbinses (are there any other appropriate fish?). I am curious what yous guys' thoughts are on who many of what I should add. I'm assuming no one thinks I'm overstocked, because when I add up my inches I get:

5x 2 inch mollies = 10
3x 1.5 inch guppies = 4.5
1x 1 inch neon = 1
3x 1 inch shrimp = 3
1x 1 inch frog = 1

Total = 19.5

So even though I'm not sure I should count the rlatively inactive and clean shrimp or frog in there, unless I'm mistaken (am I?) I am well within a safe range. I was considering getting two kirbs (total of about 5 inches?) and three bumble bees (totalling 3-6 depending on length) bringing me up to a grand total of.... um. 24.5-27.5 I believe. (-:

I'm also curious about the breeding of ghost shrimp, bumble bee gobies, and kirbinses. How likely is it I could successfully raise any of those, assuming I'm willing to do breeding traps and such but have no room for additional tanks? Any advice on how to do this?

Thanks for your time.

I should point out that you technically do not have a brackish tank, as you used aquarium salt and not marine salt. Your neon, frogs and possibly shrimp will not make it in brackish water. Also, the mollies will grow to around 4", so keep that in mind.

Someone else will help you further along. I have no experience with kribs, or mixing BBGs with bigger fish.

Update: I have added two bumble bee gobies to my tank. I now have five mollies, three guppies (and four fry!), three ghost shrimp [a couple of places I've seen say they like salt in the water], one frog and one neon.

I think I'll wait on the kirbs. Maybe if I end up transfering to another college (I currently live at home) and have to go to a ten gallon, I'll get myself a pair of kirbs. (-: Or maybe bring some of my current fish with me. Or have a betta and a small cloud of neons. Or...

If it's not brackish, what is it? And when you say the frog may not survive in brackish, do you mean my current setup or true brackish? Is there a big health benefit from marine as opposed to aquarium salt for my fish?
