So I have a redfin... chillin in the QT tank. All alone... so sad...
SO! Upgrading to a 26gal (as soon as the current ocupants are vacated.) Thought about a RTBS, convicts, firemouths.... found out, not gonna work... too small.
They will have to wait till the tank gets BIGGER.
So, I'm @square 1, and I have no idea where to go next...
Things that are important to me:
Obviously, not over crowding & living together happily & diff kinds of fish... it annoys me when I can't tell my fish apart... It took so LONG to name the spotted corys... and I haven't had luck in differences between the Striped ones.
At least semi-hardy fish... I'm still a beginner, and I don't want difficult-to-care-for fish that will easily sicken & die and upset my babies
I like fish with personality that are fun to watch
Not looking to breed, but if it happens, it happens
The shark is semi agressive, so they have to handle themselves... but also not pick on him!
Pretty! I like colorful fish, especially blue ones.
Not a fan of small fish (less than 4in), or BIG fish (more then 6in) (Yes, i know I can't have many fish @ this size... but I would rather have a few larger ones, and then add to my population as I get into larger tanks.
The tank will obviously be tropical freshwater... Probably semi-planted w/some kind of driftwood... (but there's another forum for these questions, but I welcome your insight.
Basicly, starting from square 2, empty tank + a shark
Oh yeah! I almost forgot, I have a common pelco (I know, they get massive) so I thought about returning him for a bristlenose? They stay small, yes (6 in?) Or maybe corys? Is it true they are okay in cold water & tropical water? Sorry, I am just full of questions.
I just want to decide on my stock so I can figure out what plants, decorations, gravel ect will complement/make them happy...
Ideas on what kind of fish I might be looking into?
***LFS scare me, I always seem to leave with full hands & an empty purse!!!***
~~~LOL~~~
