would a 24" 20 watt t8 bulb be enough light situated of two 2.5 gallon tanks? on tank is 12 inches long so half the bulb would cover the tank. i have a 24" fixture doing nothing so im wondering if this would be enough.

yes it would be enough, have you seen George's latest nano he did for the new tropica plant - staurogyne sp.? That is 2.5g with 18w.

thats drool worthy, they only thing i am concerned about is that the 20 watts will be spread out over the two tanks rather then 18 watts concentrated on the one tank with what i would guess at compact florescent, like Georges tank. any thoughts?

i doubt that will be enough, 10w is nothig on 2.5g, it wouldnt of been so bad if it was a PC T5.

how about getting an arc pod? Sell your lightinf fixture to fund that if you want?

i live the second one, but i'm not sure if this would be available here in canada. the hard life of living in north america, there is so much more for this hobby in europe then in north america.
