Good evening,
Brand new enthusiast here and I have a bit of a problem. I have a platy who dropped a load of fry on the 16th. Since then I've found between 16 and 22 tiny babies. All but one (found just today) seem to be doing well. They are in the nursery (net).
I will be leaving home on Saturday, Christmas eve morning, and won't be returning until New Year's Day. I've left the adults alone before for a week and they did well, but what to do with this batch of fry?
I would like to put up a flyer advertising them in the morning. Hopefully I can find someone to take care of them for me. I cannot have someone come into my home for various reasons, and cannot move my tank (although it's only 10 gallons). Considering the large number of fish in this tank, at some point the fish themselves will have to be moved.
So I'm down to two options: give the fish away or take them to someone's home for fishsitting (with payment of cash and/or fish).
If anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them. I really want to see my babies alive and thriving when I come back! Until then, if you would, please suggest some wording for my flyer
PS - I live in an apartment complex with several hundred residents, so I'm not lacking for people to see the flyer.
Thank you much in advance
