21G Akysis Tank

Im now down to 6 Akysis but have a few other fish in with them now aswell.
Now theres
1 Garra ruffa
5 young Badis badis
6 Harlequin rasbora
3 Synodontis nigriventris

The Synos i decided to try in there yesterday because the 30G there in is getting broken down and they cant go in the 150G but i really like the so decided to try and guess what within 24 hours of going in there they have spawned. I only managed to save 2 eggs because i only walked in near the end and the Badis and Garra where eating them quicker than i could pick them up. As far as i know they have only spawned in a tank once so hopefully the eggs will hatch.
Nice stock list, can you tell me the common name for 'Badis badis'? :)

I dont think they have one. The males should looke like this when fully grown

Mine are only 1" but are already getting the red on the body and a little bit of blue at the top of their fins.

Very nice, my LFS has some of them but they are very washed out :/

Mine where a plane pale brown colour when i got them but within a few days had coloured up really nicely.
The ones at my LFS arent even brown, they are beige
Thats sort of how mine where but after a few weeks the change is amazing.
Stupid me, I forgot these are nicked named Chameleon Fish, which explains the colour change

What is the temperature you having this tank at? I am keeping my panchax with cories, but yes, shoaling fish is a bit difficult. They sold badis for the first (and only) time so far in Mexico, but they were all males. Wanted to give it a go, but then I decided that I didn't want to waste a whole tank on them. If they had had females, I would have gone for it though.

The tank stays around 22c. The Panchax did fine in there but they wasnt in there for long so i dont know how they would do long term. What corys are they? Most prefer colder temp so if you can i would drop the temp to around 22c. Badis are great fish im really taken whith mine but it is a bit pointless getting a load of males because they will just end up battering each other but a single male would have worked.

Unfortunately the upside down catfish eggs have gone white. I dont think they where fertile but hopefully they will spawn again.

I just got back from my lfs with 8 free Danio albolineatus. Im going to take the rasbora back tomorrow and get another few so i just have 1 big shoal not 2 smaller ones.
