I want another larger tank for my room and I have a friend who has like 15 spare tanks sitting around. She offered me a 55gallon but my mom wouldn't let me take it because she said it was too big. -_- I asked my mom if a 29 or 30g was okay, she said no. So basically now I'm thinking about just taking my friend's spare 20g tank. But I don't know if it will be able to house the fish I want. I want either some kind of eel, or a prederatory fish- basically something different. Any suggestions??? :dunno: :fish:

I totally wish I could have the 55 gallon. I think part of the reason my mom won't let me have it is because we live on the 2nd floor in a duplex and she says the floor won't support the weight. -_- :fish:

Tricky, to get the perfect answer you'd need a structural engineer to advise you, BUT in most properties nowadays you should be fine.

I hope so. I mean, it would be awesome to have a 55g! I've always had to limit myself to fish that are totally tiny(like under 2in.) but it would be so cool to have more options.

I've only got a 30 US gallon tank and my fish will be 2" or bigger, it all depends on how many fish you wanna keep.

If I got the 55g I would probably just get a few large eels or maybe a few other oddballs. I don't know. Something cool.(and larger than 5 in.)

Okay another question- How would you move a 55g tank? We are moving in like a year or two and my mom said that's another prob with the 55g. :fish:

We don't know where we're moving to yet. Probably like less than a half hour away, though. I couldn't picture us moving farther than that.
