20G High Iron Stand

Walmart has an adequate one reasonably priced . It fits together without tools or fasteners . They’re about 40 bucks . The plywood is my doing . I like the extra insulation under the aquarium .

I'm leery of iron aquarium stands, as I've had a couple that were alarmingly wobbly. It's a simple question of design and geometry. Looking at the one Archerfish shared, I wouldn't use it because all the joints are right angles and probably held together with a single nut-bolt (or worse, a single screw). Those joints are probably going to wobble if any lateral pressure is applied, and my dog is far too clumsy to assume it won't.

If I had someone make me one (and I might some day), it would have 45 degree, triangular braces at all the corners for stability.

I hear that Man . Big aquariums , any aquarium , are heavy and sometimes just sitting there they can be slowly getting ready to fall . Might take years but with a sub-par stand it will eventually happen .
