Are you talking about the power of a filter for a 200l tank?

The amount of current in a tank is very dependent upon what is your "must have" fish i.e the species you want above all others, around which suitable tankmates can be added in theory. For example, a fish from calm water like a Betta would only want a filter turnover of 3-4x the tank valume (600-800lph), whereas a fish from the River Zaire around Stanley Pool like a Synodontis brichardi would need 10-16x filter tank turnover (2000-3200lph).

As we found in a thread earlier this year, the real life turnover of filter's rarely meets up to the marketing hype, so it pays to get something at least 10% more powerful than it says on the tin. The worst example was the All Pond Solutions 2000EF, which despite a 2000lph pump, gave real life results of 900-1200lph.
