20 Over Organisms Died

My fren has a tank of 20 guppies and 5 shrimps.When he reach home after sch,he check its ph,then he bath.When his back,all of them died!!!!Any suggestions that can cause it?

is there anything that could of poisoned it and is all the equipment working ok

i think his air pump short circuit.But he is using an internal box filter the tube can possibly conduct electricity

How does the tube conduct electricity? If it does, then that will do it. Itll take down your friend as well if (s)he is not careful.

No it won't. Have a read of this:

It might take his friend down, but not the fish.

Sounds like some toxin (poison) got in there.

How long has his tank been set up and how many gallons does it hold? How long has he had the fish and shrimp?
