20 Gallon Tank Blues...

Well im moving into a new apartment soon, and it doesn't allow pets... the only thing it allows is up to a 20 gallon tank and I have always loved taking care of tanks... so my question is, what the heck do I put in there? I would rather not deal with livebearers anymore, I bred Platies and guppies for 2 years... I have also dealt with Oscars, sharkcats, silverdollars and larger fish like that, which obviously have no purpose being in a 20 gallon tank. I did have a 20 gallon with some gourami's in it, but would rather try something different. (Please note that all these fish are still alive, just my ex kept them after the break-up) I wanna do a sand bottom like with my previous 20 gallon, and have possibly some cories, but what else, im clueless. Anyone got some idea's that I can research on? Fish that do well with sandy bottoms would be a good start. Thanks!
