Hi all
I found myself in need of a quality heater for my 20gal high ..any suggestions?
ThAnks

Aqueon pro 100 watt heater is a great heater for a 20 gallon tank but is on the expensive side..about $35. It’s dependable, submersible, adjustable and unbreakable. I have them in two of my tanks. I believe they have a lifetime warranty which is another plus. They list it on Amazon.

Does it have a guard to protect contact with fish like the fluval E100?
If not Do ypu know of any other heaters that do?
Thanks

Not many heaters seem to come with guards nowadays, but you can buy them separately. Check the size first; as I have discovered, they are all too narrow to fit on an Eheim heater.

what is the guard for? if it's to limit breakage, the aqueon pro is unbreakable as it is not made of glass

I once had a betta which slept on the heater bracket with his tail hanging down next to the element. Luckily this heater did have a guard on it.
