Here is my new tank YAY rena aqualife 600 set up for 2 weeks now - using existing 2080 with mature substratpro. No spikes whatsoever.

Still LOADS more mangrove root to go in there and a rew more chunks of rock as well as huge amounts of plants when my co2 diffuser arrives.

4x80W t5 dalyight tubes - approx 2.5 WPG. only 2 tubes run at current due to lack of co2 injection.

Ferts will be EI once co2 is extablished.

JBL aquabasis plus under roman gravel as subatrate

Background is Back to Nature Slimline Limestone

I know it looks bare at the mo, but im hoping this is the first part of a 'before and after'. Will update in a month or 2 when plants are much more established.

Currently houses 10 neon tetras, 1 stone catfsh - approx 20mm, 2 Black Widow Tetras, 1 babmoo shrimp, 3 algae eating shrimp, 4 dwarf corys, 1 honey gourami, 3 cherry barbs

Comments on aquascaping would be most appreciated - and suggestions on where to get long (70cm) sections of blasted grapevine or mangrove root also helpful.

i like that background a lot. i would put a big piece of driftwood right in that empty spot in the middle. you can grow some anubias on the wood too if you'd like. maybe some more rocks and plants too. looking good though

Ta. Iv left it bare so i can do exactly that, however the aqualife 600 has 3 bracing bars which make it tricky to get large sections of wood in, so it will probably be 2 to 3 medium large pieces.
