Right now I have a 5g fry and cherry shrimp tank where I'm raising fry that hatched a couple weeks ago. A couple of days ago I set up a 15g with the intent of separating out my cory, either putting my bronze in there or the peppers and filigree cory.

Last weekend I noticed that several clutches of eggs had been laid in the 20g. They looked bigger and just different from the usual bronze eggs I see. Some had been laid on the anubia which is glued to a piece of driftwood. I moved the driftwood to the 15g last night to give the eggs a fighting chance to hatch.

They're hatching!!

So far there are 2 fry that I can see. I have no idea which ones they are, but I'm excited nonetheless.

My question is, better to move the newest hatchlings into the 5g with the others, or move the whole lot from the 5g into the 15g? They'd certainly have more room in there, but I know it's traumatic for everyone to get moved.

Thoughts?

sorry no one has responded yet! im sure someone will come along that will give better advice then myself. if it were me personally i'd move everyone over to the bigger tank as long as their is plenty of room for all and everyones getting fed ect ect ect. good luck!!! i would LOVE to have cory babies but i must have lucked out and have all female or all males cuz no eggs ever haha

That was my thought, nice to have everyone in a bigger tank. Isn't that always better?

Have you tried cool water changes for your cory? I see in your sig you have very small numbers. They really should be in groups of at least 6 per species. My bronze spawn about every 2-3 weeks, sometimes more often.

Well, I ordered a little canister filter for the 15g, so I think I'll wait until it gets here and install it before I move everybody over.

If anyone has any good ideas, I'm happy to hear them! And thanks for responding, K.
