He seems to be doing well, even though I have him in a 45-gallon aquarium.

I've only had him for about 10-days, I just love this fish. This is my first terror, only other large cichlid I've kept in the past were Oscars.

Running a Aqua-Clear 110 external filter and a single Aqua-Clear 70 Power-Head.

Thats a beautiful fish, Is it possible to sucessfully put them in with african cichlids i have all malawis about 15 of them in a 55 gallon. I almost bought one today but didnt have anywhere to house it.

What a gorgeous fish! I saw some of these today while I was out. There was a tank full of small ones about 2-3 inches and then the store had a huge 500-1000 gallon tank stocked with about 10 full grown green terrors, some jaguar cichlids, a pair of severums and some other types of fish and my oh my the green terrors were HUGE! I don't think an adult one or pair would be happy in anything less than a 100-200 gallon tank. It's hard to imagine a fish getting that big when you see it at 2-3 inches and even when you read in a book they can get to 10-12 inches you don't realize it isn't just in length but they grow in height as well as width.

What size tank are you planning on keeping him in once he gets really big?

Aw, GT's. The first time I kept GT's I bought two and ended up with a breeding pair. Man was that lucky!! Wish I still had them. :*)

georgous fish. I love my female GT.
