first of all...ive herd of chemicles the u use weekly or so and they supposedly prevent ich completely...is this true...the other is r there any places online that i can buy live food in very small amounts????

Not too sure on the chemicals I have never used any apart from when I do my testing, if you want to feed your fish live food why not buy it in frozen form like I do. The fish still eat it up pretty quick :D

Oops I forget to mention that I use dechlorinater when I carry out water changes, thanks snowy angel for jogging my fading memory

The only chemcial i use(and i don't even use it weekly) is my de-chlorinator. I don't throw in all those rubbish chemicals/products thats say you need them to have a perfect setup or to prevent this or that. You're only going to mess up your water chemistry. Don't treat for a disease thats not there or you'll just waste money and stress your fish out. Keep your water as simple as possible. Mess with your water and it's going to mess with your fish imo.

It's much easier to achieve frozen live foods than live foods and your fish will gobble frozen foods up just as easy.

The less chemicals that are in your water, the better I think.
Good cleaning and water changes have always been the secrets to my tanks.
Like what snowy said, I normally only use a declorinator.

Wait,......
Maybe we should be using more chemicals! More chemicals for the fish!
Ugh.......
JK ;)
