2 Questions Need Answering Please

first off, i have quite a large lilly. Now, how do i cut this down as its taking over?

also, how do i get rid of snails? Ive got laods everywhere but im not sure if they are actually eating my plants. I have 2 types, one type look a bit like marine nassurius snails and the other type have really flat curly shells and the shell lays on the wood (if they are on wood), not like the other snail i have where the sheel is actually on top of the body. I cant find any loaches to eat the snails except clown loaches (grow too big for my 33 gal). I have also tried putting cucumber in after dark and in the morning there is nothing

ou can get snail traps for the aquarium, try hand icking them out, otherwise chemicals but not the best way unless there is no other fauna that may be effected.
