if i put 2 pairs of convicts in a tank and they start to breed, will they kill eachother or is the tank big enough?

Yeah, I think there will be too much aggression for a tank that size. It might be okay if they aren't breeding at the same time with a lot of ornaments in the tank to create territories and retreats but it's quite a risk and if they were to breed at the same time, it probably would end in carnage for one of the pairs.
