I purchased 2 Oscars, early yesterday and ever since they have been in the tank, they just sit behind the rock on the bottom of the tank. They barely swim around and dont seem to be eating. By the way the oscars are about 2.5 inches long and are in a 10 gallon tank for now.

Just a question...

why did u even buy them?
Your going to need to upgrade to atleast a 125 gallon soon.

they are already too big for the 10 gallon in my opinion and that is prolly why they are sulking, plus the fact that theyt are in a new tank.

If i was you, take them back ASAP and dont get anymore until you have a big enough tank

I agree oscars need a large tank of 125 gallons, please phone the lfs to take them back, and please research fish before you buy them.

How long will they be in the ten gallon? Fish when moved get really stressed and will take a few days to venture out and become used to their new surroundings.

I agree with the other posters that the tank is way too small.
