(Botia angelicus)

Around here they're hard to come by. my LFS had 3 so I bought them. They're a little bigger than my Yo-Yo loaches and a little thicker. I could only get 2 of them on camera since they're still getting used to the surroundings. They were kinda precy at about $12/fish but worth it to have something out of the ordinary.

The LFS had them labled as Polka-Dot loaches but they're not according to loaches.com. They're the Angelicus Botia Loach. and I think they're great. and so far an awesome option to those who want a clown loach but can't deal with a 12" fish. These guys grow to about 4" and mine are about 3"

Those are beautiful loaches.

LOL, I saw them called "Mongoose Loaches" at a LFS a few weeks ago.

Brought the little guys home tonight. Since the ich is finally gone and my tank is back to normal. brought them home with a few otto's

They're still a little camera shy since it's been a big night for them just having been in the tank a few hours so far. I'll get better pictures in the next few days I'm sure.

Very nice fish, I have a few and they are great characters, I just thought I would inform you that their scientific name is Botia kubotai, but you probably knew. Great pictures.

God knew what he was doing when making those guys.....sheesh, they're so beautiful!!

I really wish I could try loaches, but I'm so afraid to with them being scaleless and all
