Hello all.

I picked up 2 Koralia 4 (1200GPH) powerheads yesterday. I'm planning a 75 gallon saltwater tank, plenty of live rock, fish only to start but I will eventually have a reef setup. Anyways, I was concerned about the flow in my tank. I know the Koralias have a nice wide, gentle flow, but I was simply concerned that I may have overdone it. I'll have a 4 foot tank, one powerhead at each end. Would this be ideal, or should I have more or less?
I'll also have a filtration system which should add another 300GPH or so, and I was once told that I should us the Gallon x 20 = GPH formula, so I just want to make sure I'm not sending my fish/coral everywhere. I have little experience when it comes to powerheads, do you think I'll be ok with that?

Cheers,
Cheebs.

I calculate that as 32x turnover which isn't too much at all. Most people recommend 20-30x for your average reef, but for certain corals, upwards of 50-60x may be needed (or so I've read). So 32x is perfectly acceptable.

Just as I suspected. Thank you very much.
