2 Guppies when will they drop

Hi all

I've got 2 female gupies that both look pregnent.

One looks fat with the back spot at the back.
The other does not look as fat with the black spot.

I noticed the fatter of the 2 females low on the bottom of the tank and having trouble to swim so i got the breader kit out and put her and the other female guppy in it.

This morning she still looks fat but no fry yet.
Also the other one does not look as fat any more.

Could she have already dropped the fry? If so i havent seen any about when she was laying on the bottom.

Also how long do the guppies hold the fry before they release them?

By breeder kit, do you mean a breeder net or what?

If so, I'd probably take them out of there. If you put them in too early, they can get stressed and abort the pregnancy.

I suppose she could have dropped the fry, and eaten them...or the other fish could have eaten them. What other fish are in the tank?

And Guppies usually hold their fry for about 3-4 weeks. Sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little shorter, depends on the age and the fish.
