I set up a guppy tank last Thursday. Its a 10G with (then) 2 Males and 6 females. The tank is fully cycled, i used filter media from my other tank. There is 1 plant in the tank. I keep the temperature at 25Degrees Celcius.
Ammonia has been 0ppm every night i check
Nitrite has been 0ppm every night also.
Nitrate has been between 5-15ppm.
One died yesterday (Sunday) and one this morning. Both females, and both looked very big/fat like they were pregnant. All the other guppys look VERY healthy and active with no loss of apetite.
What could be the possible cause of death? Could it be harassment from males, as i have heard males can cause females to die.
I have included a picture of the guppy which died this morning.
Thanks
