2 Dead

last night a platy died i thought ok it must be natural
at lunch time today i came home one of my shrimps was dead
i checked all my water stats
all are ok
i did a water change and cleaned the pump
what could it have been

What exactly are your water stats ?
How large is the tank ?
What fish do you have in it ?
How long has the tank been up and running ?

the same as have been for months
ph 7.5
nirtate nitrite 0
amnonia 0

about 15-20gal
tetras
shrimp
guppys
flying fox
rtbs
since october last year
its cycled

I take it your tank is heated ?

If it is and your stats are fine (the zero nitrate is quite unsuaul though), it's almost certainly a water quality issue. Fish and shrimp don't generally die for no good reason.

I suggest keep up with regular weekly water changes and make sure your tank is not overstocked. Which might be the case if that's the list of your fish for that sized tank.

i have it on for 26 and it wasnt fully on 26 but the heater was of
