So as some of you may know a while back I posted a thread on how I was making a 2.5 gallon shrimp habitat. Well now my mother who kept fish back in the day is going to start getting back into the hobby. She has a 30 gallon and a 2.5. She's cycling the 30 gallon and the 2.5 is already cycled....but..I found out she put a panda corycat in the tiny 2.5 all by itself :(. I wasn't sure what to say so I was just like oh....cool..not really sure what to do I feel really bad for the little guy. Any ideas on what I should do I mean I can't just leave him there....don't want to hurt my moms feelings either haha.

The best thing you can do is be honest with her and tell her what she needs to hear.  Ultimately, panda corys are GREAT, but not alone.  No fish is really suitable for a 2.5 gallon tank.  The best thing to do would be to take the panda back until the 30 gallon is cycled.

That's the thing though, the fish store doesn't take returns unless there's a legitimate reason..I might actually just ask her for it I was looking for a fish for my 10g anyways besides shrimp. Oh yeah and would corys do fine on Eco?
