hi all i got me first pleco today it is just a normal one which is cool i hoping nxt to get a upside down catfish

Hi,

By normal do you mean common or sailfin? These fish grow between 12 and 24 inches so i hope you have a big tank. If you get upsidedown catfish they like to live in groups so buy at least 3. What other fish do you have and how big is the tank?

hi emma i have 6 leopard danios 6 neon tetras 2 sucking loaches and my common pleco my tank is quite reasonable and i am saving up to get a bigger tank atm i no this is a stupid question but what do plecos prefer and can the eat flakes .

I recall my daughter's plecos loving cucumber slices, they'd eat the middles right out of them. She'd put the cucumber in a lettuce leaf holder, sucker cupped to the bottom of the tank side wall.

yes plecos are cool and are fun to watch i would ad vise to get one

by the way how can i get alge wafers can u just get them from a pet shop
and the same with blood worms

Local Fish Store or Local fish Shop,, LPS is local pet shot ect....If they carry bloodworms they will carry algae wafters, or almost any chain store that carries fish products will carry algae wafers.

cool so alge wafers are just like normal flakes u can get are they or different

Cucumber goes down well with mine, as done any kind of sinking food (usually in small round discs rather than flakes).

Algae wafers are a must though as they need it in their diet - they might not get enough algae from your tank.

Also as everyone else has said, you must plan the future because you will need a bigger tank - mine is 8 inches long!
