Don't forget java fern, Microsorium!

Yep, i think your lighting is too low. Try to aim for about 100w! :good:

2 wpg give or take?
sorry, but no.
one wpg is fine and perfectly acceptable for low light plants! just check out georges last tank, stunner and all on 1wpg!
saying this though I personally would use a single 55watts pc exactly 1wpg.

I mean 60 wats tottal.. lol I jus dont want to get algae growing ,and by the way ..whats ferts?

I'm assuming that when you say do you need to have a CO2 canister, you are saying do you need CO2?
If thats the case, then yes, since you have efficient lighting, you need efficient CO2 as well or algae will surely bloom.

If your asking for a different method of CO2 other than a canister. Theres the Nutrafin natural CO2 system, but you will likely not get a reliable CO2 input to your tank since it's a 55 gallon. Also you would need 2 Nutrafin Co2 systems since your tank is large.
