Ever since I got into this hobby I have wanted to get some livebearers because they've always fascinated me. So my tank seems pretty settled now, good parameters, haven't lost any fish (except panda Corys, which for some reason I just can't keep) and everyone seems happy so I got myself some Guppies from my LFS. I asked for 2 males and 4 females but instead when I got home I had 3 of each. They seem fine though, i'll get more females if need be.

What great little fish they are. Always active, brilliant colours on the males. Also all my females are pregnant, I think. They have the large black gravid spot at the back of their bodies, well made up.

Guppies Rule!!

I have 1 male and 2 females (everyone else has died) and 1 baby that is yet to be sexed, but is growing extremly fast (he was born NYE).

My male is just stunning, my girls are quite plain, but full of energy.

They are both ready to pop with fry, but I just dont know what I am going to do with them all.

LFS do not take fry where I come from.

But yes they are very entertaining and have been wonderful to my baby angel that has lost his mate due to fin rot. He swims with them. They have not paid attention to my baby guppy at all.

Sounds like you are losing quite a few fish. Have you tested your water conditions. By keep clean, stable water for the fish, their chances of avoiding illness like fin rot and fungus are much better. If you don't already have a water test kit, I recommend one. Don't get the strips. Get a water test kit like the AP Master Test Kit, which can be found on PetSmart's website. You want to make sure your ammonia and nitrite levels are 0 and nitrate levels are low. Partial water changes help this.

You need to have at least 2 females to each male so the males don't wear out the females.
