Did you cycle the tank beforehand? Putting 10 fish in at one time is not the best on the biological media. It puts a lot of stress on it.

Other than that, your tank is really nice. Love the rock with all the hiding spots in there.

Tank is cycled. It did house my 8 mollies.

that`s a pretty good number especially if you wanted to breed them, but if your looking on adding a few species then you might wanna thin out the group....maybe leave 1 male to 4 females.....

At 1.5", you can't sex these fish yet. You probably have to wait a year before you can tell which is female and which is male.

Thanks. I had rather have just one species for now.

Yes, it is white chiclid sand that costs about $25/20 lb bag. The "rocks" are a ceramic coral that you can get off Petsmart web page. They are very lightweight, but look real. I have 4 of them in the tank.

Nice steup i was thinking something the same with holey rock my new tank just came it is 4' so the rock for the tank will probably be more expensive than the amount i will spent on fish.

Is 10 Yellow labs enough for the 55 gallon tank or can i add more?
I Think i have Two males, but I know it is hard to tell at this size.
