I am planning on setting up a 10 gal tank with sand( for the substrate) I was planning on putting my existing 4 guppies and 4 neon tetras in it. I was just wondering if a couple of Kulhli loaches or some cherry shrmp. I would appreciate some advice. :)

It depends on what spiecies you get, the stripey ones would probobly be fine but I think the black ones are too active for a ten gallon.

yeah the orange/reddish black striped ones wre the ones I was looking at :). I was thinking 2...I don't want to over crowd cuz the tank will also have 4 guppies and 4 neons......would I still be able to get some cherry shrimp if I got 2 loaches? or am I just dreamming now...? :/ I really appreciate the advice :)

The loaches you want are very active. IMO a 10g won't be big enough to give them room to swim as much as they'd like :/ Id say leave them out, they also require a minimum group size of 4, though 6 would be better :good:

Cherry shrimp will be fine. They are the aquatic equivilant of rabbits, breeding even quicker than guppies  You will buy 10 and have about 200 within 6 months, or at least I did. Weird thing is, that even with 200 you will only see 10 at a time maximum untill the tank gets stripped.... They are low waste, so unless you have a massive group (more than 70 or so) I wouldn't count them towards the inch per gallon rule

With the Neons and Guppies, I'd add the cherry shrimp only, but not the loach :good:

Striped kuhlis is fine as they are not so active and very shy than black ones. So go ahead get 4-6 of the striped ones but don't mix them with cherry shrimp if you want shrimplets.

10gal is pretty much bigger for a group of 4-6 striped kuhli loach IMO. You will never see them again when they settle in your tank as they will hide.

Will the fish eat the baby shrimp as live food and if they get sucked up in my filter will they cause my ammonia to sky rocket  ? I'm kindof getting poor right now and I don't know how much sponge filters are sooooo ....anyone have some info on filter if I need a spongey one for shrimp? :) It would be much appreciated. :D could I get cories or would that be pushing it? I just want some movement on the bottom of the tank. :/

The baby shrimp will be eaten by most fish, if the fish get a chance, but each female will kick out 20 fry a fortnight and they can move so fast that very few fish will acctualy get a chance to reduce mumbers. The babies will go into the filter, but they aren't daft. They will "extract" themselves when feeling upto facing the community fish :good:
