Hi all
Just like the title says,we are looking for ideas on what fish to buy to put in the great nephews 18l tank.I am currently cycling it at the moment.We have installed a heater that keeps the water temp at 25 degrees.Our water is soft.

18 litres is only around 4 gallons, definitely not big enough for a betta.
Could make a great shrimp tank though.

It’s roughly 14 inches high,by 14 across and 7 inches wide.He is only 2,so need something that will catch his attention haha.

oh some red cherries in a nice green tank will definitely catch some attention! looks great
make sure to get high grade cherry shrimp, and feed well nutrients so it keeps the nice colors, plus there'll be many of them
or get fire redshrimps. they are usually all red
with a simple planted tank of moss and other small bushes it should be fine for shrimps
mystery snail could be the centerpiece

To small for a tank with live stock. Use it as a plant tank, try growing a cryptocorne in it terrestrially and get it to flower. Cool and very rewarding.

Maybe some Cherry Shrimp with a larger Amano shrimp as a center? Or you can use it as a grow out for livebearers fry? Once they get too big, move them to another tank? That would require altering water chemistry to make it harder, though.
