I'm looking at a 180 US gallon tank that is 6'x2'x2'. I was wondering what oddball choices I have for that, especially in the arrowana department. I would also be moving over my 8 inch oscar and 7 inch sev.

nto an expert with rays but i think you can put a small ray in that size tank right? im not sure though

you may get away with a black aro in a tank that size or ansian aro but they are banned in the US

a silver aro will get to big for the 6x2x2ft

a jardini/ozzi aro will be to agressive to keep with other tank mates

so a black aro is your only option i kept one in a 6x2x2ft for 7yrs

when you say kept do you mean cos you had to or because it was happy in there? not doubting, just wondering

It looked ok and it was happy so i will say it can be done

it maxed out at 30-32inch and it was kept with lots of diffrent rays throw its life

According to live aquaria you can keep a jardini in an 125g so could I keep one in my 5x2x2

I wouldnt advise it...The tank really needs to be wider for them to turn IMO, but in a 6x2, like T1K said a black aro would be ok. Jardinis are too aggressive for oscars etc.

What Im saying is that I wouldnt advise keeping a jardini in a 5x2 as its too small. I think that keeping one in a 6x2 would be ok, but because of the oscar/s that wouldnt be possible due to aggression. I should have made myself clearer first time, sorry.
