I am PROBABLY going to make a 180 cm aquarium in a year and a little (180, 50, 60) and I am wondering about planting, fish, building and all other problems, I thought about discus (I am not a total nawbie since I hawe a 70l tank for about 2 years now...) could you help me ??? Just write your coments and how much is it going to cost mae ???

I am thinking of getting a 180 cm (6feet) long tank in about a year (180 cm (6 feet) length, 50 cm wide (1,66 foot), and betwen 60 and 70 cm tall (2 - 2,33 feet) and I am asking you for every advice posible (building, fish, filtration, plants, co2...

EDIT:my english

I got quite qa good idea about how I'm going to build it and the filter but everiting else is an unknown teritory... The filter is going to be 0, 66 (20cm) wide on the hole back side...

Research reseach research.

Rather than relying on people here to do your leg work, try here and here.

Have a look at discus info, general aquarium info, read the pinned posts here.

When you have a fuller idea of what you want, i.e if you will have discus, if you will have plants, exactly the size of the tank, then come back and ask specific questions.

You'll get more responses from people if they have some idea of what you are heading towards.

Agreed with the research advice.
I have to say though, I would aim at building a wider tank for your dimensions.
6x2x2 works better than a 6x1.5x2.
Just my opinion though. :dunno:

I' we researched it for quite some time and I figured that I want a wery planted discus tank and I am wondering what plants do you recomend and what fish are compatable (corrys loaches, maybe some tetras...) ld I have some apple snails or crabs or something like that in there too ok I will build it a 6*2*2 and do you recomend any acessories like uv sterilisator, ro unit... Is that more specific.

Right, thats a bit better!

I would say you should ask in the American Chiclid section - they will have a much better idea of what you'd need. Tell them what you are planning to do (your tank size, with plants etc), and ask them what you'll need.

Although that kind of information should all be easily findable on the web, for starters theres here - http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=42070

As for your specific kit - the use of the RO unit will depend on your local water stats, and as you have been advised in your post in the DIY section, a UV steriliser isn't really needed for a freshwater tank, as you'll be doing water changes, won't you?! :D
