15 gallons would be a perfect size for 1 male and 2 female dwarf puffers, maybe with three ottos if you have it 1) heavily planted and 2) have a bail out solution in case the puffers get after the ottos.

Get a Figure 8 puffer :).
Far better (IMO) than dwarf puffers :).

good one,

good thing to say this is a brackish fish though.

You could put some BBGs in too with a f8 puffer ;)

i second the puffers, freshwater with 2-3 dwarves, or brackish with figure 8 and bumbleebee gobies
however, what about killifish, they are some really colorful killifish that will breed easy

the list goes on and on really, look at the thread linked to you earlier by demonmagus

Hm.... how do i go about Brackish... will a normal filter... Will be fluval 2+, then a normal heater i think 50 watt or something. do i just put literally table spoons of salt in? also someone has a puffer with red eyes. thy have them at my lfs at 1" apprantly tey get to about 3" i ove these and were kept in freshwater.

red eye puffers would be alright, I think

if they have red tails as well they are not as aggressive as the above

and both are freshies :good:

and for brackish you need a hydrometer to measure s.g. (specifc gravity) and MARINE salt - not aquarium salt or cooking salt - hydrometers are usually calibrated at 25 degrees C but they can 'drift' (get less accurate) over time, a refractometer is much better

Right m mind is made up! i cba with the whole brackish thing... so im gunna go for a Red eye puffer. so now i need to know what Tank mates. Eg. Oto's Bn? And how many pufers one or two? and then what kinda housing would they like? i was thinking this

DECOR:
Sand.
Boogwood.
Plants.
Maybe a Few Rocks.

FISH:
1 Red eye Puffer.
4 Oto's.
1 Apple Snail.

If all that sounds good then yay but if i could do somethng better then tell me please :D

it sounds fine, not sure how aggressive the red eyed puffer is, but i doubt they will be any problems with the ottos or snail.the snail may be eaten though.
the decor sounds good too, caves, rocks, plants are the best thing to have, lowers aggression and looks better IMO
sorry i cant be more help

A bit of googling, and all sources agree - Red eyed puffers and red eyed-red tailed puffers are both fresh water. Brackish will probably not kill them, but keep it low end (1.005 or less.) I've seen conflicting information on aggressiveness levels - one thing that does seem to be consistent is that, as they age, they become more aggressive and territorial. I don't know as would keep more than one male in a tank. You would probably do all right with a male and a female in a 15 gallon tank. I think the ottos would be OK for a while, but sooner or later would get ripped all to heck. Also, ottos prefer softer, more acid water, and red eyed puffers prefer harder more alkaline water. As fraglie as I have found ottos to be, I don't think I would try to keep them with any but pygmy puffers.
